- Jakes Freedom Fence
- Fellow rescuer, Angela Agee notififed ROCK about Jake. Her mother drove past him everyday on her way to work and the sight of him chained to the tree just broke her heart. ROCK approached the owners who allowed us to build this handsome boy's enclosure.
- Three dogs in Richmond, VA
- These three dogs were allowed to run loose some of the time which angered the neighbors. Or they were kept in the small pen or chained. These dogs were also in danger of being picked up by dogfighters for bait. It was a bitter cold morning when we erected this enclosure for these dogs.
- Dusty's Freedom Fence
During the day Dusty lived on a long tether in the side yard of the house with no doghouse, ROCK President, Lisa Compton, drove by and saw him. ROCK approached the owners who not only allowed us to build the pen and provide a dog house, but they helped as well.
- Princess in Goochland
During the freezing months of January and F ebruary, ROCK had "hayrides" through the Goochland countryside. We were loaded up with 20 bales of straw and looking for dog houses. Princess wasn't chained but she was running loose in the country road and it was only a matter of time before she got hit. Her owner's allowed us to build her a pen and provide her with a new doghouse.
- Sugar in Goochland
ROCK also found Sugar during a hayride and she had a litter of puppies. She was in a rickety enclosure and had inadequate shelter from the elements. ROCK got Sugar and her puppies spayed and neutered. A ROCK volunteer took one of the puppies and a friend of her family took another. For the Love of Animals in Goochland (FLAG) took the rest. Andre, one of Sugar's owners helped build her pen and is considering volunteering with ROCK.
