When we first met Daisy, her chain was wrapped up in brush where she could barely move, and couldn't get to
her water or the boiled potatoes the owner was feeding her. Her puppy was wandering around the yard and
totally unprotected. Her owner we found out had never owned a dog in her life and had no idea how to take
care of her, the only reason Daisy was there was because she "inheritied" daisy and her pup from her son.
ROCK, with the help some Pit Bull advocates, educated the owner on, not only how to care for and train her
new companion, but convinced the owner that Daisy would be better protection for her and the house if allowed
inside.
By the time ROCK volunteers returned to install the fence, Daisy was living full time in the house and the fence
was constructed to protect Daisy for too much attention by the neighborhood children, ( it is a mutual
admiration ).
